That’s why we automatically build flexibility and protection into every EF tour, starting with our Peace of Mind Program. If plans need to change, we’ll work closely with you to determine the best solution for your group.
Option 1: Modify the itinerary and dates
We’ll adjust a tour’s specific activities or dates for the entire group, as needed.
Option 2: Find a new tour
We’ll apply every traveler’s money paid to the new tour.
Option 3: Cancel the trip altogether
Every traveler will either receive a transferrable Future Travel Voucher, or cancel with applicable fees under our Standard Cancellation Policy.

Background checks on all adults
Every adult aged 20 and older (including teachers, chaperones, and paying travelers) is required to complete a free background check before going on an EF student tour. It’s a secure process and is similar to what many school districts implement for adults in their communities who volunteer or chaperone.
Individual coverage options
We offer Global Travel Protection plan options for travelers to protect their investment and protect themselves from unexpected events and expenses while on tour—we highly recommend teachers require coverage for their travelers.
General Liability Policy
All teachers, schools, and districts who travel with EF are covered under our General Liability Policy, whether or not the tour is considered a school event.
